The Musou Black coating is rated to absorb up to approximately 99.4% of visible light. Because the dial reflects so little light, glare and reflections on the crystal can become more noticeable. The new ClearView X sapphire crystal offers approximately 98% light transmission, compared with approximately 92% for the earlier ClearView Base version, helping the depth of the black dial take center stage.

Its Musou Black coating is rated to absorb up to approximately 99.4% of visible light, creating an unusually deep black appearance. Lighting and viewing angle can affect what you see.
Is ClearView X completely reflection-free?
No. Its approximately 98% light transmission is not an anti-reflection percentage. Reflections may still appear depending on the surroundings and angle.
Is this an automatic watch?
No. The WD2008B uses the battery-powered Seiko VH31 sweeping quartz movement.
Does this model have an inner chapter ring?
No. This WD2008B Musou Black version is designed without an inner chapter ring.

What is the difference between ClearView X and ClearView Base?
The upgraded ClearView X sapphire crystal offers approximately 98% light transmission, compared with approximately 92% for the earlier ClearView Base. This helps reduce distracting reflections, but does not eliminate them.
Is the 36.5mm WD2008B suitable for smaller wrists?
Its 36.5mm case diameter, 44.8mm lug-to-lug length and approximately 10.5mm thickness give it compact proportions that may suit smaller wrists. Fit depends on wrist shape and personal preference.
